Product information is the core data that serves as the foundation for selecting products and services when creating quotations, orders, and other business documents. Systematic product management maximizes trade operation efficiency.

Product information is the core data used as the basis for selecting products and services when creating quotations, orders, and other business documents.

Creation Options

Set the following options when creating product information.

Product Type
Service

For intangible service offerings.

Product

For tangible goods and merchandise.

Save Type
List Type

Displayed in product selection lists when creating trade documents and other business documents. Suitable for products with active transactions.

Data Type

Not displayed in product selection lists. Suitable for reference information or inactive product management.

Input Fields

Product Name

Required

Enter the name of the product or service.

Specification

Required

A specification is a detailed description that defines the characteristics of a product, especially when products share the same name. Specifications are crucial for identifying and distinguishing products, documenting all relevant attributes and technical details. Well-defined specifications act as unique identifiers, enabling clear differentiation of each product and consistent performance evaluation.

Product Description

Enter a detailed description of the product.

Supplier

Select the supplier company for the product. Only companies registered as List Type in Data Management > Entity Information can be selected. Not required for company's own products.

Country of Origin

Select the country of origin for the product. Only countries registered in Basic Data > Country Information can be selected.

Category

Required

Select the product category. Only categories registered in Basic Data > Product Information > Category can be selected.

Unit

Required

A unit is the basic measurement unit used to quantify a product and serves as the basis for pricing. In a commercial context, a unit refers to the standardized quantity of a product used for trading purposes. Only units registered in Basic Data > Product Information > Unit can be selected.

Package

Required

A package is a packaging unit that can contain one or multiple units of a product. For example, golf balls may be packaged in boxes of 12, and those 12-unit boxes can be further packaged into larger boxes. The purpose of packaging is to group products for efficient handling, storage, and transportation. Only packages registered in Basic Data > Product Information > Package can be selected.

Packing Type

Packing type refers to the method used to ship products, often involving the use of containers or pallets. The selected packing type is crucial for protecting goods during transport, optimizing space, and facilitating easy handling and unloading.

HS Code

Enter the HS Code for the product or commodity. Used for automatic input when generating trade documents.

Product Photo

Upload a representative image of the product.

Reference Files

Upload files related to the product.

Product Page

Manage All Product-Related Information

The product information page consists of 2 tabs.

Information
View and edit the basic information of the created product.
Post
View all activities connected to the product in a timeline format.
